Janssen Biologics B.V., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Scientist MSAT LM Process Analytics at the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) department to be based in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Leiden site MSAT is part of the global Janssen Supply Chain MSAT organization. We manage the technology platform strategy within our Leiden manufacturing site, where we support Gene Therapy, Lentivirus, and Large Molecule production. We are responsible for the validation and standardization of equipment for new product introduction, and process validation activities for the life cycle management (LCM) of commercial products. The Process Analytics (PA) team tests and deploys new process (analytical) technology (PAT), owns the technical expertise for process modeling, and drives adoption of advanced technology on-site. We strive for hands-free, fully automated, continuous biopharmaceutical production processes!

We want to strengthen the PA team with an Associate Scientist in Process Analytics to accelerate the deployment of advanced process control in the manufacturing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of Multi-variate analysis (MVA) models
• Statistical data analysis, reporting, and visualization
• Supporting data contextualization and data pipeline engineering
• Supporting investigations and risk assessments using developed modeling approaches
• Ensuring integration of global standards into local processes and procedures
• Collaborating between site operations, R&D, and global MSAT

Qualifications

• 0-2 years with a Master's Degree or equivalent in biotechnology, engineering, math, or other science-related field
• Experience with modeling software such as SIMCA, Python, R, Simio
• Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab, JMP
• Basic knowledge in quality (GxP)
• Preferred knowledge on LEAN and CI
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Able to create structure from abstract concepts
• Able to balance theoretical and practical insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with change management
