To make it possible for our trading teams to beat the market, our complex systems must always work properly, fast, highly reliable and have 24/7 availability. When issues arise, they must be solved as quickly as possible.

As an IT Support Specialist, you are in the middle of this high-tech environment by being the first point of contact when it comes to support questions from our employees. You have an important role in the on- and offboarding of our employees by taking care of the user accounts, permissions, and licenses when an employee joins and/ or leaves Northpool.

You work closely with all colleagues at Northpool, being the first point of contact when end users come to the IT area or submit a ticket to our ticketing system. You provide technical support for hardware, laptops and workstations including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.

Questions are mainly received via our ticketing system, but sometimes also via email, MS Teams, or in person. We're seeking someone with a strong technical understanding of IT problems, who can effectively follow documentation and contribute to our knowledge base, as well as manage our IT department stock with diligence.

We ask:

• Minimal BSc degree in Computer Science or IT related study.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• At least one-year hands-on experience as 1 st line support.
• Experience with/willingness to learn how to work with Intune.
• Experience with stock management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite.
• (Basic) understanding of networking.
• (Basic) understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• The ability to speak and write clear and fluent English.
• Good social & communication skills.
• Strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to stay calm under hectic situations.
