The internship

What do we offer?

What are you going to do?

• Perform (advanced) analyses on Out Of Home (hospitality sector) sales data using SQL and Python and provide your colleagues with insights
• Design and create data visualization by building Power BI dashboards
• Support the data-driven transformation of Heineken Out Of Home

The department

You will be part of the Sales Excellence team, which operates within the Out Of Home department of Heineken the Netherlands and consists of 5 professionals. The team drives the data-driven transformation at Heineken and acts as the insights partner to many stakeholders within the organization. The team works on projects upon requests as well as on more long-term projects that are key to become more data-driven. In our team we use various tools such as Power BI to create accessible dashboarding and clear visualizations, Python for in-dept analyses/visualizations and SQL to retrieve data

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is flexible, but around 1st of September 2024
• The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• You are registered at an educational institution
• We work from the head office in Leiden, the sales office at Amsterdam Sloterdijk and remote
• You will receive an internship fee of €500
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you! The ideal candidate:

• Follows or just finished a WO education in the field of Business Analytics, Economics or Econometrics
• Has some experience with data analysis and/or visualization tools
• Has great communication skills

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
2. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
